The Larkin is the main lecture theatre in the DCU Business School and its successful operation is vital to the school’s lecture programme. The project involved complete refurbishment of the 400 seat Larkin Lecture Theatre and two associated Lecture Halls.
The project had to be delivered to a fast track six week programme, over Christmas recess. Early engagement with all stakeholders, allowed a detailed programme to be meticulously planned. This approach was essential as the works would occur over Christmas , to resolve potential issues. Planning for supply chain challenges and specialist contractor appointments were especially important.
A consistent dialogue occurred with stakeholders throughout the project, including the holiday season. This approach led to the delivery of this high-end refurbishment, featuring two separate work sites, on time and on budget. The project was met with commendation from the client upon completion.
